Spring in Idaho

Ugh! This spring weather is something. I refused to strap on my cleats this week. I guess running in warmer temps is making me soft. Alas, this too shall pass. I'm grateful for the few spots of sunshine, warmer temps and less wind that were interspersed with the snow, cold and windy conditions this week.

Racing!!!

It's been another two weeks. Wow! how time flies when you are having fun. I got to race last Saturday in Moab. Racing is good. It's fun to be out there with so many like minded people and it pushes me to step it up. The run down the canyon along the Colorado River was beautiful and a nice downhill grade. Not too steep. I was most excited about the Kokepelli pin that they gave out as a PR pin. All first time runners got one. Finish time 2:11:02

Life is Uncertain.....Run First!!

This week has been one of reflection. A time to evaluate what is really important. As I sat in 3 of the 4 funerals this week, it made me wonder what people will say about me when I'm gone. I'm not as charitable and selfless as those whose lives have recently progressed forward. I need to get on the stick. I'm grateful to live another day and be able to work on that.....after I get my run in :)

2...2...2 weeks in one

The last couple weeks have flown by. It takes a few days to catch up and get back in the swing. Being back in the cold and snow makes me appreciate the variety of life. I'm so grateful for the sun and occassional warm weather. I was so happy to be able to go to Boise for the weekend to watch a little girls bball at the state tournament. Even though they didn't win it all, they did bring home a trophy... Good Work Lady Cards! I was able to do my long run on Overland in Boise. A great long street that has sidewalk on both sides. I got in 9 miles before the game on Saturday.

This past week went so quickly. Hard business decisions and tragedies made me grateful for running. It offers quiet time and an opportunity to contemplate the solemnities of eternity. I'm grateful for the my knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for the sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ and the companionship of the Holy Ghost. I've seen the faith of those who have lost loved ones and see the foundation and comfort that we can enjoy because of that knowledge. Run On!
